ACCEPTANCE IS ALL WE NEED

I remember when I would be so focused on trying so hard to find my peace that I would practically force it upon myself. I would wish for things to be easier, so naturally, I would put strain on myself to try and make things easier, which of course never would work in my favor. Well, the reality is that Life is not always easy. There are times of stress, moments of weakness, feelings of fear and anxiety, wishing for things to be different…well, sometimes with a little focus we can make things a little easier on ourselves but we cannot forget about those things in our Life that are absolutely uncontrollable. Distractions are everywhere! They are surrounding us and no matter where we turn, they are starring up at us, sometimes even literally, cute bright blue peepers, one's that make it challenging to even give ourselves a moment to think (referring to my incredibly amazing and very talkative children). Well, although some days may be more challenging than others, I have committed to change my thinking. I no longer allow myself to fall victim of the "Why me?" scenario. I have come to live in a place of acceptance. Accepting all that is, and believing that it all has a good purpose. When Life is disastrous and the day isn't going as planned, I try my best to just take a step back and look upon the experience for what it is. I begin to dissect and unravel an understanding for that moment in time. I remind myself of how normal this is, this reality of accepting what is happening in my Life, right at this very moment, as a lesson to be learned. To embrace it for the good, the bad, the beautiful, and ugly. I especially have noticed an acceptance when I practice yoga or am sitting in (what I would love to call) silence, the times that I do get to invest into myself and my wellbeing, may not be exactly as I imagine, not every flow or movement is as fluid or perfect as I would wish it to be. The distractions are still always there, only this time I have allowed it to be apart of my moment. Not trying to force it away. When we put tension on something, it only makes it harder to enjoy. In most circumstances I am being distracted by an overwhelmingly adorable little creature that I have created, one that I like to call "B":) These distractions, which has once in the past made me feel frustrated or misplaced in my practice, I now feel a sense of humility and gratitude for. Here is one time I was trying to get my yoga on, with "B" trying to successfully interrupt and join me…

My point is that it is not worth taking Life so seriously all the time! We can really rally up a lot of unnecessarily negative thoughts in our minds that do not serve us and make it worth our while. Instead of listening to all this mental chatter we all could quite honestly fester up from our own expectations... When you shift your thinking to acceptance, you see the World in a different light. Now, this is not to say that I am "perfect" and do not have my moments of anger, impatience, and desire... we are all human. When my old daughter is yelling at me and demanding things she wants, of course this agitates me, and deep down I get very upset as to what seem to be disrespecting me…What I learn is that this is a test. How I react is how I will feel, and she will learn to react in these situations and feel those similar feelings. Teaching her and myself the importance of finding our breathe and finding my balance is what keeps me grounded.

What is important is to shine your light from within, no matter what is going on in your Life.  A perfect example is, when you are doing the dishes, and believe me, I have just recently gotten a dish washer so I did working meditation with my dishes ALL THE TIME! (Now it may sound a little crazy at first, but just give it a try and you will see the way it makes you feel.) 

Try to wash them while practicing a prayer of gratitude...

“Thank you for this moment to clean my dishes, Thank you for these dishes we use to make my life a little less messy, Thank you for the water to wash them for me.”

It can be simple acts of kindness through an act of being truly thankful for what we have been blessed with. If you lived through a very traumatic experience and lost EVERYTHING, don't you think you would appreciate your dishes and be washing them a little bit differently? It is all in how we change our thinking. When you live in this place of humility, accepting yourself and experiences for what they are, and letting go of those harboring feelings, letting go of the ego, living in a place of forgiveness, you will awaken to a much deeper inner peace that you didn't even know existed. Memories of pure joy and happiness that will create a Life worth living.

 

TIP: keep a GRATITUDE JOURNAL>>

This is a great way to remember all the moments that you really appreciate, from the very simple to the very memorable, especially those times that may have turned sour (like my daughter throwing a fit at the gym but then us being able to work through it together by using our words). This is your chance to be able to visualize the transition of your experiences in a more positive light. 

ie: My shower today was so nice and relaxing. I focused on my time that I was given to myself. I am grateful for hot water, soap to cleanse my body, and for a moment of peace and quiet :)

i.e.: I am grateful that I was able to make such a delicious dinner to feed my family tonight. Although, the kids were whining and complaining while I was cooking it, they were just hungry and I am proud to know that I have put nutritious food into their tummies and for our time together as a family. (Acknowledging the negative but turning it into a positive has been very helpful for me to find that place of acceptance in certain situations)

ie: I accept my body and admire myself for who I am. I love myself. I am unique, I am the only me, and I will always be grateful for who I am.

3 Meditations to Practice in Sun Salutations

"Before each round, take a moment with your eyes closed and your hands in Prayer to think about what each meditation means to you". Focus on your intention (whether it be for peace, quiet, mindfulness, stress relief) Pay attention to your breath as you go through the motions. 1. Acknowledge your practice as an act of self-love or self-care.Seeing your practice as an act of self-love or self-care allows you to feel a sense of gratitude for taking the time and making the effort to practice. It’s not always easy to bring yourself to the mat, but when you do, it’s always good, it always matters. Having gratitude for your efforts is immediately grounding.

2. Think of someone who makes you smile or feel at ease.Thinking of someone who makes you smile or feel at ease allows you to feel lighter. When you feel lighter and content, there is clarity and an ease behind your sense of Self. The back and forth of how you define or see yourself decreases; you start to feel like yourself. It feels authentic. It comes from within, not from someone else’s definitions or expectations.

3. Trust your personal compass.Trusting your personal compass is big. We are inundated with what we should do, say, and think. Listening to the advice of others is important, but in the end, trust yourself. The more you practice, the easier it is to have clarity. You’ll be less likely to compare yourself to others and more able to accept things the way they really are.

MEDITATION MANTRAS

A great way to begin your meditative practice for peace and mindfulness is to increase your focus on a meaningful meditative state by practicing mantras. I love mantra's because they help to give me focus on my intention as well as the sound that it transmits into my mind.body.soul. Mantras can elevate your practice with ‘higher energetic vibrations’ and help you achieve a whole new level of enlightenment. I literally feel like I am floating after practicing a mantra while in deep meditation. Here is a list of the Top 10 best meditation mantras I found, with some meaning for which each one that it represents, for you to incorporate into your daily practice! Namaste :)

1. Om:

‘Om’ is the most common as well as sacred mantra that you can practice in the morning for expressing the ‘original vibration of manifestation’. This word is taken from Sanskrit language. It generates an extremely comforting sound when the vibration is allowed to loiter in the throat. In order to enter the deep meditative state, you have to focus on that ultimate silence which produces and absorbs the sound. It comforts and relaxes the soul irrespective of your spiritual inclinations.

2. Love:

‘Love’ is the second most popular mantra in this list. It is a very powerful way to create a lovable ambiance around you. When you utter the word ‘love’, you feel great and it reflects on your physical appearance. During meditation, you need to focus on this physical feeling that comes from repeating the word aloud. It simply eliminates all your anger and depression and fills your heart with love.

3. I Am:

Identifying self-existence and the Law of Attraction, Recognizing self-power and acknowledging self-divinity are some important aspects of meditation. This mantra is absolutely perfect for chanting at the start of a day and honoring yourself for who you are and what you want to attract and become. When you add positive affirmations with ‘I am’, you eventually strengthen your inner-self and step towards success.

4. So-Hum:

Here is a natural mantra, which is known to be universal for morning meditation. The vibration generated during the pronunciation of ‘So-Hum’ is actually a part of your regular breath. As air enters your lungs during inhalation, the ‘soooo…’ sound is produced. On the other hand, ‘hummmm….’ is generated when air goes out of the lungs during exhalation.

5. Lam:

There are a few morning meditation mantras, which focus on certain parts of the body and improve their functionality. ‘Lam’ is one among them. It is intended for your spinal cord, especially its base region. In order to practice this mantra, you need to position the tip of your tongue on the back of the upper palate by bending it up as well as back.

6. Vam:

‘Vam’ is another mantra that you can practice in the morning during your meditation to focus on your genitals and improve its functionality. Start with holding the center of your lower lip with your upper set of teeth. Do not press your lip with the teeth. Rather, place them gently on it. Now, create a breathy consonant, which should sound like ‘fvam’.

7. Ram:

You can also focus on your abdominal area and regulate its activities through morning meditation. At first, you need to curve the tip of your tongue and touch the crown of the front segment of the upper palate with it. Then, start enunciating the word by rolling the ‘r’ so that it sounds like a rumble noise.

8. Yam:

Morning meditation is good for your cardiac health, if this mantra is practiced regularly. The sound generated during the practice of this mantra is very much similar to humming as you need to breathe in through the mouth and that too audibly. You also have to make the inhalation process longer than the actual resolution of the consonant.

9. Ham:

When you practice the mantra ‘Ham’ during meditation, you basically follow the way opposite to the previous form. Breathe in through your mouth without generating any sound of inhalation. Now, start uttering the sound ‘yum’ while the air moves in your lungs and allow the cavities of your mouth and throat to be filled with it. The region of awareness for this mantra is throat.

10. Om Mani Padme Hum:

According to Buddhism, the mantra ‘Om Mani Padme Hum’ means “The jewel is in the lotus or praise to the jewel in the lotus”. It can be divided into six syllables, the first three of which represent the adulterated ‘body, speech and mind’ of the person who is meditating and the last three stand for the pure glorious ‘body, speech and mind’ of Buddha. This mantra helps to remove toxic thoughts of jealousy, ego, ignorance, and aggression. The purification happens when you truly focus on the good within yourself bringing about wisdom, compassion, patience, and bliss. It is known to be one of the most effective morning meditation mantras that can take the practitioner from an impure state to a pure one.

Angel Numbers

Do you ever have that feeling someone is watching over you?

There are many people that practice many different religions, believe in different gods, and engage in different traditions. If you truly look deep down into what our true God is... When it all comes down to the true essence of it…WE ARE GOD. God is in all beings. You, me, the flowers, our water, the frequency of the music you hear, the wind, the sun, the birds, our breath…God is apart of us all in it's truest form. I absolutely believe in a higher being, I also believe that there have been many incredible leaders that God has brought before us to guide us. I do not put one above another because each person has their own story to tell and virtue to share. I believe that there is life after death, which some refer to as "transitioning". I prefer this term because I believe we truly transition out of this vessel and into our purest form of energy. Do you ever get a feeling that someone is with you? Watching over you? I absolutely know deep down that there is an energy following my journey at certain times of my life, when we are more intuitive among our crazy chaotic lifestyles we can be more aware that there are clues, signs, and markers to indicate the communication from this higher being..to help heal us to let us know we are on the right path. Some may call me crazy but I truly believe that God is always showing us these…these clues are with us to guide us along our journey. If you pay close attention you too will gain insight. Today I had an incredible team chat, talking about our experiences as we build our business together, the goals we want to attain, and the steps to get to where we want to be to grow. I stumbled upon not just 1 but 2 (!!!!) Angel #'s simultaneously. Now, you may say, "Rachel, you have gone crazy! What is this non sense you speak of that Angels talk to you through the form of a number??" Yes, you heard me correct and this is exactly what I believe in. The Law of Numbers is very powerful and they follow us, if only we pay close attention to them do we notice that they will help to guide us. Numbers are associated with different forms of communication from our Angels that watch over us. If you think about it we are all comprised of energy, tiny atoms and molecules, they do not just disappear once we transition. Our form may no longer present but our spirit still remains. Well, my angels directed me to the #'s 333 and 555. The more I have been focusing on my growth in my business, helping others heal and grow, the more 3's follow me. To know that my angels and spiritual masters are along me in my expansion and growth on my journey is enlightening. Pay close attention and you too will find more than you think you know…..Allow your Angels, God, the Universal Divine to direct you and communicate to you...
