WHY DETOX?
It’s important for our bodies to set aside some time to do a little spring clean(s)ing. We surround ourselves with pesticides, unpure air, radiation, bacteria’s, germs, you name it and we are covered in toxins! What better way to treat our bodies with cell renewal and rejuvenation by giving it a little “Spring Cleansing” right before summer?
“Spring cleansing” means detoxifying your body, says Linda Page, ND, PhD, a naturopathic doctor, lecturer, and author of the book Detoxification.
It's a way to recharge, rejuvenate, and renew, says Page. "Anybody can benefit from a cleansing. The body is coming out of what might be called hibernation. It's a way you can jump-start your body for a more active life, a healthier life."
Did you know?
Your body stores fat to protect from impurities. When impurities are released, the body sheds the fat that is stored along with it. You therefore have better overall health with less fat and more lean muscle!
Fasting has a long-standing spiritual tradition. "Almost every religion has some type of fasting ritual -- Lent, Ramadan, Yom Kippur ... the Hindus and Buddhists fast, too," says James Dillard, MD, assistant clinical professor at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York City. He's author of Alternative Medicinefor Dummies.
Luckily, I have found an amazing Nutritional Cleansing Program that you don’t have to deplete your body of the essential calories and slowly over 30 days you can detoxify, cleanse, and regenerate your new healthy cells with a mixture of life’s greatest shakes packed with vitamins and minerals along side real whole foods!
TAKE THE DETOX QUIZ:
“I think it’s time for a detox!” said over a million people around the world just yesterday. How many Facebook posts have you read about the latest liver detox, elimination diet, fat flush, or colon cleanse?
It’s great that more and more people are thinking about cleansing their systems, and it’s the perfect time to do so just before summer. But people interested in doing a detox are failing to determine exactly WHY they have decided to detox in the first place.
