I talk to people on a regular basis about their health and I find it interesting that most people are not really giving themselves the attention and appreciation their bodies deserve. We are more likely to make sure that our pet or child is taken care, before our own needs are met, pushing our own health aside without thought. Why is this? I used to play victim to this too, we live in such a busy world that skipping breakfast and vitamins seems of no consequence. Yet it seems to be a double standard because if I miss a day without giving vitamins to my girls... I would give myself serious mommy guilt! The thing is, we all know what is good for us yet we choose to avoid it because of inconvenience or whatever excuse we may play up in our heads. Well, this should be no longer... I realize that if I want to be a good mom, I must take care of me, selflessly. How do we expect to take care of anyone else if we aren't taking care of thee most important person in our own lives?
